Managing an External CAPA

CAPAs created in an external system as a result of an Audit Management audit can be referenced within the Audit Management system. If the policy Use Pilgrim CAPA Management is set to No in the Prepare Audit step, then if a CAPA is required as a result of a finding, a Manage External Audit task is created and routed to the specified assignee. Tracking information can then be entered into the task and tied to the audit. The external audit information will be displayed in the Details section of the Audit record.

  1. From Audit Workspace - All Tasks > Audit - All Open Tasks on the Portal Page, click the Manage External CAPA link for the appropriate record.
    Result: The Manage External CAPA window is displayed.
  1. Enter the External CAPA Number.
  2. Enter or zoom to select the CAPA Owner.
  1. In the Comment field, enter any relevant information regarding the external CAPA.
  2. Click the Sign-off button.
    Result: The Sign-off window is displayed.
  3. Enter your user ID and password and then click the Sign-off button.
    Result: The Result window is displayed. The Result window is a window that displays after sign-off and asks the user where they would like to go next, such as to the Audit Detail or back to the Portal Page.
